Best OTT Video Companies in China
The 117 best OTT Video companies in China in 2026, ranked by funding and momentum. Funding, investors, founders, valuation, tech stack and live signals. Top: Bilibili.
China's OTT Video market has 117 companies tracked in our directory, ranked by disclosed equity funding and recent momentum, with a combined $11.2B raised across the sector. That number hits differently when you realize the market is forecast at $2.7B in 2024, growing at a 30.7% CAGR. Two unicorns have emerged. And the funding concentration is steep: Bilibili leads at $2.8B, iQiyi follows at $2.0B, and LeSports pulled in $1.3B, meaning three names account for roughly half the disclosed capital in the entire cohort.
So what's actually driving this? Live shopping integrations inside OTT platforms are reshaping how streamers monetize attention, and personalization engines are becoming table stakes for anyone trying to hold an audience past the first scroll. Hot technical themes this quarter include playback engine optimization and audio rendering, which tells you the infrastructure arms race is still live. Regulatory pressure on content licensing remains a real variable in China, and you'd be unwise to ignore it when sizing up any player here. IDG Capital and Tencent anchor the investor list, which, I'd argue, signals this space still attracts serious institutional conviction.
