Best InsurTech Companies in Australia

The 154 best InsurTech companies in Australia in 2026, ranked by funding and momentum. Funding, investors, founders, valuation, tech stack and live signals. Top: Honey Insurance.

Australia's InsurTech sector has 154 companies chasing a global market projected to grow from $16.6B to roughly $165.4B by 2032, a 30%-plus CAGR that makes the local funding pool look modest by comparison. Total disclosed funding across those 154 firms sits at $474M, no unicorns yet. But the distribution tells you something real: Honey Insurance alone has pulled in $120M, dwarfing almost everything else on the list, with Earnd at $61M the only other name in the same conversation. The remaining top filers, reask, Upcover, Handdii, and Block Builder, are all sub-$10M. So the headline total flatters the field a little.

What's actually driving momentum here is AI claims processing and digital insurance platforms, and I'd watch both closely given that cyber threats and data privacy pressures are forcing insurers to modernise faster than they'd like. Investors including AirTree and Antler are still writing early-stage cheques, which keeps the pipeline moving even when big rounds are scarce. The honest picture is a market with one clear revenue outlier, a long tail of underfunded startups, and a structural tailwind that makes the gap between where this sector is and where it could be genuinely interesting.
