JBS launches cultivated protein R&D center in Brazil with US$37 million investment
Brazilian cosmetics company Natura announced a governance overhaul alongside a new investment from Advent International, which has committed to acquire a minority stake of between 8% and 10% through purchases of outstanding shares over time.
Ambev IPO'ed in 1997 and has grown 428% since going public.
The Canadian pension fund PSP Investments has just become the shareholder of the Brazilian Citrosuco, the world's largest exporter of orange juice.
In four years, the company carried out five merger and acquisition operations, including brands such as Mabel, Santa Amália and Seleto/Bom Dia.
The BTG Pactual board informed on Thursday (7) that it made a proposal to buy approximately 1.26 million shares of Metalfrio Solutions, equivalent to 19.99% of the company's share capital, confirming news initially released by the newspaper O Globo.
Arezzo&Co, owner of several fashion brands such as Arezzo, Schultz, Anacapri, Vans and Reserva, announced to the market, on Thursday, the acquisition of two companies as part of a post-follow-on expansion plan and accelerated growth.
The deal involved the merger of Natura &Co into Natura Cosméticos, with the aim of simplifying the corporate structure and governance of the Natura Group.
Now, the São Paulo company has just received a new contribution from Moriah Asset, an investment vehicle led by Fabiano Zettel, which is now holding 30% of the business. Moriah has already invested a total of 2.6 million reals in the company — the first check was 1.2 million reals per 20% of the transaction, followed by an additional 1.4 million reals per 10% in different valuations.
The acquisition of Nardi is the continuation of the implementation of Frutarom Group’s rapid profitable growth strategy and the realization of its vision ‘to be the preferred partner for tasty and healthy success,’ said Ori Yehudai, president and chief executive officer of Frutarom.
